Holy privacy malfunctions and malicious malfeasance! There has been a ton of information circling about recently regarding the popular Modular Systems Emerald Viewer, and it’s all bad. From the leaked avatar database to the ability to track avatar alts, to the brand new DDoS proof of concept that was unleashed recently. People are dropping this viewer in droves and with very good reason. Today it was announced that Fractured Crystal, the creator of the Emerald DDoS proof of concept hack is stepping down from the project, Emerald was also removed from the Second Life Official Third Party Viewer List, and tonight, Paisley Beebe is dedicating airtime to this latest Emerald debacle. You will not want to miss this show if you are currently an Emerald user, or if you were considering becoming one. The show starts at 6PM SLT tonight and it is going to be packed!

Double Update!
HOLY MOLY! Philip Linden has just handed down the boomstick on the Emerald Viewer! A letter was written and posted to the main Second Life blog today and it is warning users to stop using the Emerald Viewer and instead switch to an official SL viewer or other thrid party viewer right now. All that can really be said at this point in time is Holy…Moly.
Triple Update!
HOLY RIDICULOUS MOLY! The Herald and NWN are reporting even more crazy Emerald weirdness! It’s starting to sound like the Emerald dev team is disbanding with Jessica Lyons resigning from the team. Again, this time, all that can really truly be said is…H.O.L.Y…..M.O.L.Y! This can only mean that by this Friday, the Emerald viewer is most likely going to be banned from Second Life.

You could hold up a picture of Fractured Crystal pissing on the flag whilst flipping off two troops as he informs them he does not support them while his other hand is holding that of Osama Bin Laden who is confessing he put some code in Emerald……
and bulk of Emerald’s user base would yawn.
